What is DHE™?
For many years now, physicists have believed that time and space started with a Big Bang. Initially time changed little and space changed a lot (faster-than-light expansion) before beginning to slow down.
I was so convinced by the physicists' own certainty that when research published in 2000 showed that either this was impossible or gravity was sometimes a repellant force... it was like the sky falling on my head!
Our realities are limited by what we don't conceive as possible. Even when learning NLP, I took on many limiting beliefs about the way things were. I always wondered if these were Richard Bandler's beliefs but when I took DHE, I suddenly found that not only had I escaped the box, but Richard was never there.
Design Human Engineering™ was created by Richard in response to some of the limitations inherent in NLP, or at least in the way most trainers teach it.
There is no single difference between NLP & DHE. The main ones are:

The chunk size in DHE is huge compared to NLP.

Although NLP was designed to be generative, many trainings are therapeutic or problem-solving in nature. DHE explores what is truly possible for any one person at any moment in time.

One of the main principles of DHE is that when doing extraordinary things we will be in extraordinary states of mind. As a result, much of DHE is based around finding truly worthwhile directions to move in, building up incredibly powerful states of mind and letting rip!

NLP is usually linear, DHE is based on parallel processing. I'm not the only one to have a significant boost in intelligence as a result of attending a DHE training.
- With NLP you'd model one bit of the individual and then another bit. Modelling, at least in terms of acquiring skills, is emphasised less. With DHE you make it all up and the only modelling you do is calibration where you learn how to simultaneously recognise the most significant patterns operating. And there's also modelling of tools in the sense of how they affect the universe in response to how they are affected by the universe. In this manner you can build things like clocks and video recorders in your mind.
Some people ask what can you do with DHE that you can't do with NLP. In one sense, the answer is nothing - you can just usually do it more easily. DHE installations only take a few minutes!
