Disk Management under-reporting size of new hard disk?

Windows 2000 reported my new hard disk as 130GB. After much searching, I found out that neither Win2k nor WinXP support drives >128GB by default.

Bought a nice new Hitachi 7K250 hard disk from Simply, arrived within 2 days.
Plugged it into Windows 2000 SP4 and ran Disk Management. After trying to access the internet (why?), Win2k reported the size as 130GB. After much searching, I found out that neither Win2k nor WinXP support drives >128GB by default. You need a new ATAPI 6.0 driver (found in 2k SP3 & XP SP2) and you need to manually edit your registry:
